BIO-key International has won an award from the Kettering, Ohio Police Department for mobile reporting software. With this award, officers on patrol will be able to complete incident and crash reports from laptops in their vehicles and transmit them wirelessly back to HQ using BIO-key´s MobileOffice mobile data solution.
The new software, which will collect data and produce standardized reports required by Ohio and national reporting guidelines, is already in use in other BIO-key customer sites in Ohio. The ability to create and submit reports electronically keeps officers in the field, rather than behind a desk completing paper forms, allowing them to be more productive and visible to the general public.
The MobileOffice reporting module is fully integrated with MobileCop enabling relevant information returned from MobileCop federal and state database queries, such as driver and vehicle information from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles, to be dragged and dropped into reports resulting in reduced errors and minimal officer work.
