Tagsys has announced that Bóboli, one of Spain’s premier fashion houses for children, is piloting an RFID deployment program to effectively track and manage items from manufacturing through point-of-sale.
Bóboli, which has products available throughout Europe, the Middle East, SE Asia and the Americas, is believed to be the first Spanish brand apparel manufacturer to invest in item-level tracking based on RFID technology.
The initial pilot will consist of a Tagsys UHF tunnel that will scan and read the RFID tagged contents of Bóboli’s inbound and outbound warehouse shipments in a few seconds. Scanned items will be automatically compared to the boxed item’s packing slip to verify content accuracy.
The pilot program is rumoured to involve 10% of the Spanish firm’s production inventory, before it is expaneded throughout all items.
