OpSec Security, a provider of anti-counterfeiting and brand protection management solutions, has announced that it has been selected by the Licensing Resource Group (LRG), a collegiate licensing management firm, to provide online brand protection for Texas A&M University.
"Texas A&M is among the largest collegiate brands, and has a large and loyal following of Aggie supporters and fans. We want to be proactive in managing and protecting the Aggie brand as part of our overall licensing management program for Texas A&M. We are using OpSec´s online brand protection system to monitor trademark infringements, online auctions, internet content, and domain names. Our plan is to use OpSec´s online brand protection system as part of our premium licensing management services for leading collegiate brands," said Dick Rademaker, founder and CEO of LRG.
According to Michael Huddleston, Associate Vice Chancellor of the Texas A&M University System: “At Texas A&M, we want to clearly communicate and distinguish our university as an institution with a core purpose dedicated to developing the leaders of the future. We undertook a brand alignment initiative to provide clarity and consistency in how we present the university to our various constituents. Part of the overall effort is to protect Texas A&M´s name, trademarks, and brand in all communications and channels.”
